L'enigma dei bastardi - The enigma of the bastards

A thriller written by a friend, Danilo Giovanelli. Having read a first draft, I vehemently declared it un-publishable [Italian style, with quite a lot of hand waving and strong words], as too funnily profane. Proved wrong, the expurgated version was out in December 2004. Unfortunately it is published in Italian and in Italy only, but give us time to replenish the Italian-English with a few more bad words, and we'll post excerpts. This is Danilo's debut work.

[stop press ] Now the book has a blog, where the mystery is further explored. I have to say it  took a wee bit of arm twisting to persuade the author, but it reads nicely now that he's agreed to post short 500-words stories per week. Please meet the Asphalter, one of the bastards:
